Rats (and Cats) Love to Play!

The above article doesn’t surprise me in the least…

Here’s why:

I had a pet rat (Fink) and a Siamese cat (Charisma, nickname Turkey) who used to take turns chasing each other.

They were living in a huge warehouse/office building combo and allowed to hang out together from the time the rat came to live with us as a wee one.

They developed a friendship that was lovely to behold. I wish I’d had a videocam back then.

They’d jump from the floor to the table to the shelves and down again, playing all the while.

I know how smart cats and rats are and how much they love to play, but I really wasn’t expecting the one-ups-man-ship that was revealed in Fink’s and Charisma’s play routines.
